Hot, Sweaty Biking

That’s right. Hot… sweaty… biking.
Visiting my dad in Massachusetts (North Shore) and decided to brave the extremely muggy temperatures. It was 95 degrees with 80% humidity, so according to the weather sites, it “felt like” 105 degrees.

I'm mellllltinggg. Plus the collar is digging into my thyroidectomy scar and making me angrrryyyy.

I tried hitting a trail but due to excessive amounts of rain, my bike (and soon to follow, my foot) sank into the mud. FAIL.

Therefore, I hit up a local farm that has a ton of trails for hikers/horse back riders. There are no signs about cyclists but if it allows horses, it should allow cyclists. After all, WE don’t poop all over the trail!!!

Here are some pics from my ride. I mooed at some cows, trying to say ‘Aren’t you pretty!’ but I think my cow-accent was off and it translated into ‘Aren’t you tasty!’. Considering I have eaten beef three days in a row, the latter is pretty accurate.

A FARM. HOW QUAINT.

I want to write something tacky like 'Good thing I'm not wearing red' but that is just lame. Right?

I love New England. SO MUCH HISTORY, so much awesomeness.

A cool grave marker for one of the members of the Appleton family. Out in the middle of the woods.

All in all, a great time tooling around Northern Mass, even if the weather wasn’t be so nifty keen.
