Oh, Ivan. This delicious Spaniard rides for Euskaltel-Euskadi. Alas! He had a bad crash in Stage 5, broke his collarbone (although was man enough to finish the day), and is out for the rest of the tour (he had to have an operation, ugh). Stage 5 was a rough one, taking down quite a few riders, including the much maligned Contador.
Don’t worry, Ivan! I’d be MORE than happy to nurse you back to health!!

Last year I did a review of the Hotties of Team RadioShack.
This year, I’m going to do a broader search and highlight the Hotties of the Tour de France.
Now, in general, professional cyclists are not generally “sexy”. Don’t get me wrong – I luv ‘em long and lean, but they also have terrible farmers tans, are lighter than me by 20+ pounds, and for some reason have goofy faces.
But do not despair! There are over 20 teams competing in Le Tour, with at least a dozen+ riders each. Out of that, we can find ourselves some drool worthy babes.
For the first TdF hottie, I bring you Martin Mortensen, of Team Leopard Trek!

- Leopard Trek is the same team the Schlek brothers are on – cuties, but not as cute as Martin!

Awooooooooooga! Continuing on with a review of the Hotties of Team Radioshack, I bring you the Trek Madone 6.9! The Trek Madone 6.9 is a hot ride I wouldn’t mind straddling between my legs!!
Stats:
- Each Tour de France frame takes 28 hours to hand paint
- Full SRAM Red drive train for extra lightness
- For techie geeks like me, integrated speed and cadence wireless sensors built in
- BB90 allows for increased stiffness and decreases the weight of the bike
- Wider bearing = wider fork legs = better bracing angle (ohhh yeahhhh)
Trek doesn’t make custom bikes for the team – all the guys on Team Radioshack use stock bikes, so I technically COULD go and take one for a ride! I see a few listed on Craigslist for ~$4000. *dreamy sigh*

Today’s featured hottie is Jose “Chechu” Luis Rubiera. This Spanish babe makes me wanna shout “Hola!” instead of “Hollah!” with his easy goin’ grin and electrical engineering degree (I love me some engineers).

- Has to use meds for allergies and ensure he doesn’t get tested positive for doping because of it
- Signed up with the USPS team because it was “technologically superior” yeah!!

For those that read Bicycling Magazine, a 2010 “Fanguide” of Team Radioshack was inserted into the August edition.
I learned three things from this insert:
1. I am taller than almost every guy on the team*
2. I am heavier than every guy on the team
3. There are some srs hottiez on the team
So I would like to take this opportunity to review a few of these hottiez. Yes, I will continue using a z instead of an s, to emphasize the hawt. I will also intentionally omit Lance Armstrong (who truly has become a one word name person, “Lance”, like Madonna and Oprah) because everyone talks about Lance. Let’s shine some light on the others in the peloton that got Lance to where he is!!! It’s a TEAM sport (unless it’s uh not, like the Time Trials).
